When you fly first class in an airplane, the cabin crew gives you first-class treatment. They ask you, “Is everything okay with you, sir?” They ask you what magazines you want to read. They give you a blanket if you are cold. They give you the best kinds of food. They give you preferential treatment compared to those traveling in economy class…. continue reading.
Are you discouraged because a breakthrough that you have been praying for has yet to manifest? Maybe it has been days or even weeks and you are asking, “How will I know that I will get it?” Abraham faced the same situation and asked God the same question. And God answered, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” What a strange answer!… continue reading.
Psalm 50:10
Suppose you have just heard of someone whose financial debts have been miraculously cleared. Or your elated friend has just told you that despite being an average student in school, he scored straight As in all his subjects. Perhaps on Sunday, you heard a couple share about how they had become proud owners of a condominium which was the grand prize in a supermarket lucky draw, or how a once-childless couple is now expecting their miracle child.
When you see or hear of others being blessed, do you ever wonder when it will be your turn? Or do you even find yourself saying, “Oh, he got blessed with the very thing that I have been praying for. There goes my blessing.”
Now, just because man’s economy operates on the principle of shortage, it does not mean that God operates in the same manner. So the next time somebody gets blessed, tell yourself, “I won’t be disheartened. I won’t be jealous. I am the next one to be blessed!”
Always remember that God does not have to bless anyone at your expense. Nor does He have to bless you at anyone’s expense. We don’t have to be jealous of each other. There is a portion that God gives to you which no man can touch because it has your name on it — “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven”. (John 3:27)
Our God is a rich God. He owns the whole universe. He has contacts and blessings you do not know of and which are reserved just for you! There is more than enough for everybody with plenty of leftovers. In fact, you will not be able to take it all because when the blessings start coming in, they will come in a net-breaking, boat-sinking style. You will have to call for your friends in the other boats to come and help you! (Luke 5:1–7) That is the kind of blessings that our God gives. So get ready for your blessings and overflowing abundance!
Psalm 1:3 3. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. When darkness covered the face of the earth, God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (Genesis 1:3) […]
Jeremiah33:8
I (God) will cleanse them (Judah and Jerusalem) from all the sin they have committted against me and will forgive ALL their sins of rebellion against me. 9.Then this city will bring me renown, Joy, Praise and honor before all nations on the earth that here of all the good things I do for it: and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it,
10. This is what the lord says: ‘You say about this place, “It is a desolate place without men or animals.” Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted, inhabited by neither men nor animals, there will be heard once more “the sounds of Joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bride groom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the lord. Saying;
“Give thanks to the lord
Almighty, for the lord
is good; his love endures
forever.”
For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the lord.
_IN DEPT_
In this portion of the word of God we refer ‘Judah and Jerusalem’ as ‘You and me’
Here (verse8) God is telling Jeremiah how he will cleanse ‘Judah and Jerusalem’ from ALL their sins as the same way God is telling me how he has cleansed ‘You and me’ from all our sins (both past, present and future sins) (romans6:14, 8:1).
CHAPTER 9. Is talking about the result of the forgiveness from the previous verse. As you and me will show Jesus’ righteousness in our life to the world and bring Joy and honor to the name of the lord.
In Chapter 10 and 11, God is saying though people say you are a waste that nothing good can come out of you as the same way they said Jerusalem and Judah is a waste without men or animals. Yet, God is saying the sound of Joy and gladness, good deeds shall not seize in your life via the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus.
